Nearly Wordless Wednesday

It’s Nearly Wordless Wednesday!

Except I haven’t picked up my camera in a week.

BUT!

I did get the first draft of my thesis complete and turned into my committee chair.

Yay!

So I may have fallen off the Project 52 wagon, but I did complete my LensBaby assignment for the G+ LensBaby group. And the Nurture Winter Challenge kicks off next week. I’m crazy excited to take part in that again.

There are so many talented women posting amazing and wonderful and moving pictures; I feel way intimidated and out of my league. Here’s a taste of the talent: Check out Sherri Davis. The snow makes an excellent backdrop for the LensBaby effect!

I need just have to work harder.

I also ordered some aperture rings for my LensBaby OG. This should make a difference since shooting wide open with a LensBaby makes focusing so unbelievably difficult.

Focusing with a LensBaby OG is like trying to catch a firefly. Except you never entirely sure if you caught it or not. I will not let this LenBaby defeat me though. I WILL conquer it!

While I’m wrestling with the devil. Here’s the rest of the set from my first LensBaby challenge. The theme was Fresh. I put Thalia to work squeezing fresh orange juice.

You are too humble. You did a great job especially with the very original visualization of this idea. My favorite shot is the last one. Retro!
